Taylor is a handsome brindle and white Am Staff Mix. This wonderful boy is a gentle giant with a big smile. Even though Taylor is a big fella, he is easy to handle and walks great on the leash, checking in often for direction and encouragement. While he is always game for a walk, he also enjoys hanging out for attention and affection from his handlers. Taylor was picked up as a stray, but he came to the shelter well fed and cared for, so we believe he was someone’s sweet family dog. Unfortunately no one has come to claim him, so he is now ready to find a new loving family to spend his life with.

Meet Jerry - a big, lovable goofball.  He is between three and four years old and we’re sure that he wishes he were a lap dog.  He loves to give kisses and is prone to rolling over on his belly for a good scratching.  He is a strong boy with a loving temperament.  He loves to play.  Jerry has been at the shelter for almost a year now and is definitely ready for a loving, forever home. 

He has bonded with one of the volunteers and has learned to sit and lie down on command.  He walks very well on the leash with a harness (he is a strong boy).  While walking he pays no attention to other dogs and does not react to passersby.  He is really rather mellow.  Because of his size and playfulness we would not place him in a home with small children and he needs an owner who is willing to work with him and establish control and boundaries.   Jerry is an impressive-looking animal and draws attention when out in public.

Nellie is a sweet, calm American Bulldog mix who we estimate to be about 2 years old. She was found as a stray running with another of our adoptable dogs, Sully. Nellie is a gentle leash walker, loves to take treats and knows the “sit” command. She is happiest when sitting with a volunteer friend in the shade of the trees and will flip on her back immediately for belly rubs. We love this gentle girl and would love to see her in a quiet loving home where she could get all of the attention she deserves.

Regal Sunny came to the shelter as a stray, but she was clearly loved by someone most of her life.  She has a sweet personality, walks politely on the leash, and knows several commands.   Sunny will make a perfect, easy companion to that special someone who wants a terrific dog "out of the box.!"

Kendo is a strikingly beautiful Shepherd/Chow mix who came to the shelter as a stray.  He is young-- we believe around a year or so, and is very smart, learning his new commands quickly.  He does exhibit some behaviors typical of his breeds, such as guarding his handler and barky reactivity to other animals, so we highly recommend adopters with experience training Chow Chows or German Shepherds.  He is a diamond in the rough who will be a perfect dog when paired with the right people!

Meet Kimba, a three year old brindle mix. Kimba arrived at the shelter because his owner was evicted from his apartment. He was accustomed to living with another dog, children and lots of activity. Naturally, Kimba very much misses the love and companionship of his former home and is anxious to find a loving, forever home.

Kimba was adopted recently but his adoptive owner found him to be more energy than he could commit to, so this beautiful guy is "back on the market!"   Kimba would adore a back yard to play in and people to love.  He is a fount of affection!

Kimba is a perfect gentleman on a leash and a gentle treat-taker. He is neutered, housetrained, up-to-date on his shots and microchipped.  Come meet this special guys soon, he won;t be here long!

Emily is a super-friendly, affectionate girl who can't wait to meet you!  In fact, she is very enthusiastic about everything!  This friendly girl loves to go for walks or just hang out on the yard.  She has lots of energy so she would love a family who can do fun things with her and provide her someplace to run and play.  Emily has walked nicely wiht the other dogs she has met at the shelter, knows some basic commands, has been spayed, and is current on all of her vaccinations.

Parker is fantastic!  He is a stocky young man who loves walks and is learning commands at a lightening pace.  Our volunteers are amazed at how smart he is!  Parker was found as a stray and is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.  Come meet this brilliant boy before someone else snaps him up!

Luna is a wonderful girl!  She is smart and stoic, and loves to sit and get ear scratches.  She likes peace and quiet and really enjoys spending quiet time with her volunteer friends.  Luna is nervous when she sees other dogs so we think she would enjoy being the only dog in her Forever Home.  Luna makes a GREAT running partner, she keeps pace very well with her human and never pulls or runs off on her own.  She is a delight who cannot wait to meet you!

Stella is an absolute dream dog!  She is beautiful, calm, and cuddly.  She has liked the other dogs she has met at the shelter, was indifferent to the cats, and generally just wants to hang out and be loved.  Stella knows some basic commands, and really enjoys training time when she gets to learn even more!  This lovely girl is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite and we just know you are going to love her as much as we do!

Aiden is SO happy to meet everyone!  He is a bubbly boy with a beautiful face and winning personality.  We believe he is very young (around 1 year old) and still has his bouncy puppy energy and charm.  He has been a friendly, enthusiastic playmate with other dogs at the shelter, and was calm and respectful with the cats he has met.

Aiden is very energetic so we would like to see him in a forever home where his humans have the time to devote to training him and teaching him to be a polite boy.  He will be a fantastic companion for many years to come.
