Dr. Kathleen Rahman
Dr. Kathleen Rahman is an Instructor in Animal Sciences at Rutgers University and Associate Director of Academics for the Rutgers Equine Science Center. She has enjoyed a decade-long relationship with Rutgers as a graduate of both Douglass College with a BA in Biology and the Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences Program with a PhD. Kathleen has experience in undergraduate teaching as well as hands-on experience in working with both large and small domestic animals. She exhibits a high level of enthusiasm and passion for Animal Science, teaching, and undergraduate advising.
Kathleen and her family have had the pleasure of establishing a relationship with Sammy’s Hope several years ago by adopting their first dog. Since then, she and her husband have worked with the organization to adopt another dog into their family. Kathleen is deeply honored and excited to serve on the Sammy’s Hope Advisory Committee.
Angel Lebak is owner of Assistant Angel - Team of Social Media Managers. Angel and her team serve clients around the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Angel also owns Virtual Assistant Training Network-- this free online course allows individuals brush up on needed skills to ender workplace as a virtual assistant. When not working, Angel enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and rescue puppy, Skippy. Angel is proud to offer tips, insights and training to Sammy's Hope board of directors and staff to help spread message of hope for rescue animals.
Jim Wood has been in public accounting for 29 years. A graduate of Wake Forest University, he began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell in Greensboro, North Carolina. More interested in the type of client base attracted to smaller firms, Jim joined a local firm in New Brunswick, NJ in 1988 and spun off his own practice in 1998. Jim currently practices in Hillsborough, NJ where he and his staff specialize in nonprofit organizations, local savings institutions, small businesses, and individuals, particularly the tax issues associated with non-traditional families. He shares his home with cairn terrier, Herbie, and terrier mix, Lidia.
Beth Quirk-Hendry is General Counsel for Kindle Energy LLC and has been an attorney for more than twenty years. She is a graduate of Colgate University and New York University Law School. Beth lives in Morristown, NJ with her husband, two daughters and a beautiful King Charles Spaniel named Pocus.
