Sandy finds a foster

sized crazyear

Our sweet Sandy, who has been at the shelter for many months and had a run of very bad luck, has found himself a foster home!  Sandy is staying with two of our volunteers where he has 2 large foster siblings and a nice fenced in yard.  Sandy can add the following to his already lengthy list of attributes:

  • he's housetrained
  • he happily shares his toys with his humans during play
  • he doesn't mind hands in his food bowl or humans taking food from him
  • he loves to cuddle and will stay in the same position for hours if he is being hugged or petted
  • he will kiss on command
  • he knows many commands including sit, stay, come, lie down, heel, kisses
  • he is crate-trained and will sit quietly for hours waiting to be let out (there's hidden camera footage!)

Sandy spent a very long time in the shelter, and while he is getting along well with his foster siblings, we at Sammy's Hope would like to see him as the only dog in his forever home so that he can get the full attention he deserves.
