Help Us Raise Money Or Walk With Us! Add some excitement to your usual weekend plans with your dog, and do it for a great cause! Walk or run a timed 5K* together, and then hang out at a festival for all things dog (and dog-lovers). Join Sammy's Hope on October 1, 2016 at Hudson River Park's Pier 26 in New York City or donate / walk locally. Strut Your Mutt, which includes doggie yoga, pet portraits, refreshments, music, contests, post-run pet massages and more, is for a great cause — ending the killing of pets in America’s shelters.
Can't attend an event? If you decide to participate in the virtual Strut Your Mutt Challenge, you can make the same impact for homeless pets without the crowds! No matter which event you participate in, you can help homeless pets in your community or fundraiser for national programs that help to create sweeping changes for homeless pets everywhere.
WHY WE STRUT!
We strut for the animals who aren’t much different from those who may be curled up next to you right now — or trying to coax you into giving them dinner, even though it’s still an hour away. The animals we strut for may be homeless now, but they deserve the chance at the same loving relationship you have with your pets. And yet, every day in this country, more than 9,000 of them are killed, simply because they don’t have homes.
That’s why Best Friends Animal Society, local animal welfare groups, and passionate individuals like you are joining forces to create a bright future for pets. We want to give each one the chance to thrive. We believe that working together we can Save Them All®.
The donations raised through Strut Your Mutt are used to fund lifesaving adoption programs and spay/neuter services, so that, ultimately, we impact the number of pets entering and leaving the shelters. Please join us for this fun-filled event — either by registering to walk or by sponsoring a walker. Help give all pets the chance they deserve.
We hope to see you there!

Sammy's Hope is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization that has been helping homeless animals in New Jersey municipal shelters since 2010. Our commitment to improving the health and well-being of homeless animals is demonstrated through our success and our efforts to do more.
In January 2015 , we opened the Sammy's Hope Animal Welfare & Adoption Center in Sayreville, NJ. We are helping to relieve overcrowded conditions at area municipal animal shelters by pulling them into our care and providing adoption services. All animals in our care receive necessary medical care (including vaccinations, testing and spay/neuter surgery), socialization, and behavior training as needed.
Our focus is on animals that have been in shelters for especially long periods, those being overlooked for adoption for any number of reasons, and those whose behaviors may be hindering their adoption.
The money we raise will be used to fund adoption programs, training programs, socialization, spay/neuter services, and other medical needs.
Please join us either by registering for our team or donating to one of our team members. Your donation is tax-deductible and our organization keeps 100 percent of the money we raise (after transaction fees).
Together, we can Save Them All®
