Volunteer With Us!
Sammy’s Hope Animal Welfare and Adoption Center has been open since January, 2015. We now have our own shelter!
As a volunteer rescue, we need your help! We will be holding volunteer orientations throughout the year on week nights and Saturdays. The orientation will run approximately 1.5 hours. We are offering it as often as needed to make sure we have enough volunteers at all times to help care for the animals. Your participation is critical to help us do the work we do for homeless animals, so please sign up for an orientation date if you haven't already! PRE-REGISTRATION is REQUIRED, as space is limited.
Volunteers need not have previous shelter experience, but they must be at least 18 years of age, quick learners, able to follow directions and work independently. All must be capable of meeting the physical demands of working in a kennel environment, including handling medium to large size dogs, cleaning, and following safety protocols. They must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours regularly, at the same time/same day each week. Volunteers who can handle large dogs are especially needed.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity to train and work with animals, and make homeless animals’ life a little bit better until they find a home, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are now acceptation registration for volunteer orientation on:
Saturday, June 30, at 6 pm. Re-scheduled for Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
Reminder: Be sure to pre-register to ensure your access to your desired orientation at email@example.com.
