Adoptions: Oreo

UPDATE: Adopted! Oreo has found her Forever Home. Oreo (a.k.a. Lexi), an American Staffordshire Terrier, is a sweet girl who looks like an Oreo cookie! She is under 2 years old. Her owner surrendered her to the shelter along with another dog (see Lola's posting below). Oreo is always excited when the shelter volunteers come to walk and play with her-- she is a ball of fun! Her favorite things are splashing in the kiddie pool and playing with the large dog toys. She knows some commands like “sit” and “stay” and she responds well to treats.

She is friendly and confident with other dogs and will happily play with them for hours in the shelter’s fenced-in yard. She does pull on the leash when walking, and is easily excited by squirrels or birds, but will always “check in” (to make sure that you are there). Oreo’s ideal Forever Family will play with her, walk her, and most importantly provide her with the love and security she needs. She would thrive in a fenced yard with room to run off her energy.
