Adoptions: Sadie

Lovely lab/terrier mix Mercedes ("Sadie" for short) came to the shelter as the result of a terrible tragedy. Sadly, her family was killed in a car accident in January. She arrived with this note about herself...

"Hello, my name is Sadie (Mercedes). I'm three years old (Fall of 2009)....I was a "breeding dog," malnourished and dirty when my foster parents took me and loved me from June 2011 until now. They decided to adopt me in December of 2011. Tragically, on a January 2012 morning, my new parents were in a fatal accident. My world has changed.... My parents loved me sooo much and they would want a loving family to continue my life. I am active, love kids, housebroken, loyal... Loving with family! Can I go home with you?"

Sadie is a sweet, energetic, happy girl. She knows the "sit" command and is learning to walk nicely on a leash with the help of her volunteer friends. She is very playful and has loved the people and dogs she has met at the shelter. Sadie is spayed, housebroken, and up-to-date on her shots. She is a perfect family dog who would love to come home with you!
